Opportunity Centre Clubhouse
A social and vocational rehabilitation program organized to support people whose lives have been drastically disrupted by mental illness
Opened in 2002 under the auspices of Skills of Central Pennsylvania, the Opportunity Centre Clubhouse provides a supportive environment for people whose lives have been interrupted by mental illness. Clubhouse members develop their own goals for recovery and then collaborate with other members and support staff to develop strategies and tactics to help them achieve their goals.
The Clubhouse is open to any Centre County Resident who:
Is 18 years of age or older
Has a desire to gain or maintain a role in one or more of the following areas:
Has been diagnosed with a serious mental health disorder
Hear from our members and staff about why they love Clubhouse, what a day at the Clubhouse looks like, and how we help people with mental health challenges work toward their goals.
“I like to socialize and meet new people. I have a place to come during the day so I am not sitting at home alone.”
